Another method is articulation: simply taking a class that counts as a college class.
For instance, CSULB offers free Ethnic Studies classes at LBUSD high schools. LBCC also offers a variety of opportunities to receive early college credit, including some at no cost.
LBCP students also have exclusive access to the low-cost Young Scholars Program.
The Long Beach College Promise provided me with many resources as a student, and it also gave me many opportunities. It helped with my first two years of college, and I'm grateful for being a part of the LBCP!
