Applying to FAFSA

From an early age, LBUSD students will have the chance to apply for scholarships through the Long Beach College Promise. Every year, LBUSD hosts an annual pledge drive with middle school students being encouraged to sign the College Promise, committing to pursuing a college education. At the end of the drive, a scholarship is awarded to one student from each middle and K-8 school.

Discover Opportunities

Long Beach City College also provides information about a variety of internal scholarships and external scholarships on the LBCC website. One application for internal scholarship opportunities may be submitted on the first day of the Fall semester, and the scholarship committee will work to match applicants with the appropriate scholarship based on students’ eligibility.

Work-Study Opportunities

California State University Long Beach has information regarding available scholarships inside the Beach Scholarships portal as well as on the CSULB website. There are plenty of unique scholarships available for students, such as for student-athletes and those looking to study abroad. Be sure to reach out to the CSULB Financial Aid and Scholarships office to learn more about your options.
